RMIT UNIVERSITY
RMIT University is one of the largest multi-level universities in Australia
providing the full spectrum of post-secondary education, from certificate
courses to associate diploma, degree and higher degree of master and doctor,
higher education and technical and further education.
RMIT University opened its doors in 1887 as the Working Men's College,
Melbourne. In 1960, the Royal Melbourne Technical College was renamed RMIT
University.
RMIT University received further recognition of its autonomy and standing in the
education community with the declaration of the Accreditation Board in 1983 that
the RMIT University Advanced College was qualified to accredit its own courses
up to doctoral level. This declaration was the first of its kind in Australia.
It marked another stage in the development and recognition of RMIT University as
a major institution within higher education in Australia.
On 1 July 1992, RMIT University was conferred official university status. The
merger with Phillip Institute of Technology was also formalised on this day. The
new enlarged RMIT University, which comprises nine faculties in the higher
education sector and the six schools in the TAFE sector, is located across three
campuses-RMIT University City campus, RMIT University Bundoora campus and RMIT
University Coburg campus.
RMIT University is a member of the Australia Vice-Chancellor's Committees and
this, together with its comprehensive academic programmes from certificate to
doctoral levels, its research capacity and its national recognition through the
development in RMIT University of a number of national key centres of
excellence, establish firmly its university status.
MAASTRICHT SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT
The Maastricht School of Management (MSM), previously known as the Netherlands
International Institute for Management, is a truly international business school
dedicated to excellence in management education and performance. Its objective
is to emphasize the key role that good management plays in competition, growth
and productivity.
MSM was founded in 1952 as an initiative of the Delft University of Technology
and moved to its campus in Maastricht in 1989. Since its establishment in the
historic city of Maastricht, MSM has both added to and benefited from the rich
business, political and cultural resources of the city. Its proximity to other
major European countries only adds to its significance. Participants from over
150 different countries have been attracted to MSM through its MBA, PhD, DBA,

The Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAF) is related to the Christian Democratic
movement. Having emerged from the 'Society for Christian Democratic Education
Work' founded in 1956, it was named after the first Chancellor of the Federal
Republic in 1964. KAF is guided by the same principles that inspired Adenauer's
work.
For more than thirty years the Konrad Adenauer Foundation has been cooperating
with partners everywhere in the world. In more than 100 countries in Africa,
Asia, Europe, and Latin America, in the Middle East and in North America, 85
foreign representatives are looking after more than 200 programmes. All of KAF's
projects serve the goal of promoting democracy and development, improving
understanding across national and cultural borders, providing help towards
self-help, and combating the root causes of poverty and environmental
destruction.
