Greetings from MIM!
 |
The Malaysian Institute of
Management (MIM) celebrates its 40th Anniversary this year and I am proud to be associated with this national treasure and asset of ours which has been instrumental in four decades of management development in Malaysia. MIM was established in 1966 out of an urgent national need to train our managers and leaders in the agricultural era (1960s and 1970s). This led into the industrial era
(1980s), the technology era (1990s), and now the
knowledge era (2000s) and eventually moving towards an exciting innovation era.
|
As such, Malaysian managers and leaders must be ever-ready and fully-equipped with the relevant knowledge and expertise to excel in this advent of globalisation where business is but a `click' away.
Excelling in management and leadership is not a choice for the present and future generations of managers. It must be managership par excellence!
The following articles are my thoughts on the subject and evolving trends of management both locally and abroad in this innovation era with the intent of providing food for thought to all who share MIM's interest in promoting management and thought leadership in Malaysia and eventually in countries abroad.
Happy Reading!
Dr Wilson Tay
CEO of MIM
