"Imagination is better than knowledge," remarked Dr Wilson Tay, CEO of MIM at the MIM CPD Talk today on "Innovation Driven Entrepreneurship". This session is part of a regular series of the MIM CPD Talks organised twice a month by MIM. Taking a cue from this quote by Albert Einstein, Dr Wilson brought the participants on a journey of innovation practices which demonstrated that creativity and innovative qualities are inherent in everyone given the right environment and motivation.

Like any other disciplines, entrepreneurship can be learned, with innovation being one of the essential traits of successful entrepreneurs. Dr Wilson illustrated this further by case studies of successful companies like 3M, Kodak, IBM, Pilkington Glass, Dell Computer and The Media Shoppe that thrived on process innovation, R&D innovation, service innovation and product innovation - how ideas generation lead to conception thence to development, commercialisation and entrepreneurship.

The talk was attended by more than 120 participants comprising MIM professional and corporate members.
