CIMA Professional Development (CPD) scheme is output based. That means you can tailor your development activities to suit you, rather than having to complete specific activities, units or hours.
This output based approach takes into account your individual learning styles and preferences. It encourages you to reflect on and evaluate gains from an activity, and to apply what you've learned. It also helps you to focus on activities that are relevant to you and future roles that interest you.
Anything that helps you to meet your development goals could count as CPD - this includes the literature and news you read, information you download, and networking and mentoring.
All CIMA members are required to use the CIMA Professional Development Cycle. It's up to you to assess your development goals and needs, select the most appropriate activities and design your CPD programme accordingly.
CIMA collaborate with MIM to offer CPD programmes for members. With the collaboration, CIMA is giving more options to members to choose a variety of training programmes offered by the collaborating partner
