ICDL APPROVED TESTS CENTRES
ABOUT THE TESTS
All registrations and tests are done at ICDL Approved Test Centres (ATC). Please visit www.icdl.com.my to locate your nearest ATC.
- As the test for each module is passed, the ATC will record the success in a central database, and the individual will have access to an online Skills Card with the latest results of his/her testing activities.
- The tests may be taken in any order at the individual's own pace. These tests may even be taken all at once, but they must be completed within 3 years from initial registration.
- When any four or all seven of the module have been passed, the successful candidate will receive the ICDL Start Certificate or the ICDL Certificate respectively.
- Individuals may just take the tests, but many may also take up training at the ATCs to prepare themselves for the tests.
HOW MUCH TRAINING IS REQUIRED
- Usually the candidate will undertake training on each module of the syllabus prior to taking the test, although this is not compulsory. The amount of training will depend on the candidate's skills levels and the chosen training provider.
- Some candidates may feel competent enough in one area to forego training and move onto testing immediately, while others may require full training prior to testing.
- MIM ICDL training programmes are available in many different forms from face2face workshop to e-learning, and there is sufficient flexibility to suit the needs and lifestyles of most candidates.
