49 Young Malaysian Leaders completed their enriching MIM-TRYLA journey.

KUALA LUMPUR - 49 young Malaysian leaders of different gender, ethnic origin and religious background came from various states in Malaysia participated in MIM-TRYLA this year and completed their enriching MIM-TRYLA journey at the Closing Ceremony Dinner which was held at Safir Room, Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur on Monday, 26 July 2010.

Organised by Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) with the support from Masterskill Education Group Berhad, MIM-Masterskill Youth Leadership Development Programme (MIM-TRYLA) is specially designed to develop young Malaysian men and women between the ages of 21 and 35, with leadership potential and managerial talent to prepare them for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead of the nation.

Inaugurated in 1993, MIM-TRYLA (Tun Razak Youth Leadership Award) is named after the late Tun Abdul Razak, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia because of his profound interest in the youths of Malaysia. Since then it has been an annual affair for MIM and has nurtured 899 talented Malaysian youths through the programme. These youths were carefully selected into MIM-TRYLA based on their existing management leadership capabilities as well as their potential and desire to strive for excellent management competence for themselves and ultimately the country.

Among the interesting activities conducted during the 7 days 6 nights fully residential MIM-TRYLA programme were sessions by invited speakers, outdoor teambuilding activities, strategy games, leadership exercises, project management planning and management discussions. Participants also took part in a community projects.

The guest of honour, YABhg Tun Hajjah Rahah Bte Tan Sri Mohd Noah, wife of the late Tun Abdul Razak graced the Closing Ceremony Dinner. Also present were YTM Tunku Dato Kamel, Chairman, Masterskill Education Group Berhad,YBhg Dato' Ng Tieh Chuan, Vice Chairman, Malaysian Institute of Management, Dr. Nazily Noor , CEO, Malaysian Institute of Management, General Council members of MIM and guests of the Institute.

The MIM-TRYLA is part of MIM's effort to give back to society.
