Dr Ralph Gonsalves shared his vast experience as a politician, lawyer and writer with participants at the event on Leadership for the 21st Century - Economic Growth and Regional Integration.

"My presence in Malaysia today and in Singapore within the next couple of days, signifies the huge importance which my country attaches to our enhanced political and economic relations. Modern leadership is required to seize the time, grasp the initiative, take bold steps across continents in this increasingly globalised world in the interest of our people's humanisation. Let us make today an historic beginning for the meaningful bonding between our Carribean civilization (including its Vincentian component) and the civilisations of Malaysia and Singapore," said Dr Ralph Gonsalves.

With the advent of globalisation, today's managers are faced with new demands and challenges. "MIM believes that the Management Leadership Talk Series will present a superb opportunity for Malaysian managers and entrepreneurs to gain knowledge and expertise not only from local entrepreneurs and managers, but also from foreign international practitioners," said Ir George Lee Yau Lung, Chairman of MIM.
