Ladies and Gentlemen

A very good morning to all of you.

On behalf of the MIM Alumni's members, I wish to thank all of you for taking time off this morning, especially on a Saturday morning, to attend and witness this significant event.

It is too frequent that we have to read about infants born with disabilities, either mental or physical. To add to their misfortune, these infants are often abandoned by their own parents or family members, who are unable to cope with their disabilities and some that are so poor, they are unable to even contribute to their children's living expenses, as these children require special care and attention.

This fund raising project was launched in year 2001, and was made possible with the support from the Popular Book Co (M) Sdn Bhd, by allowing us to place donation boxes at selected Popular Book Stores across the nation. This provided us with the opportunity to reach out to the community, as it helped to create awareness and visibility for the less fortunate.

With this, on behalf of the alumni members, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the Popular Book Co. (M) Sdn Bhd for making this fund raising project a success. Without your support, contribution, and cooperation, we could not have been able to raise the amount that we have, approximately Ringgit Malaysia Eighteen Thousand.

Lastly, I would like to thank all the well-wishers, contributors, staff of the Popular Book stores, MIM and not forgetting the alumni members for your contribution and effort rendered to this project.

Sometimes the smallest contributions and actions could result in the greatest of rewards. Together let us make this world a better place to live for these less fortunate children.

Thank you once again for your contributions and support.

Have a nice day!
