CEO’s Message: Are you ready for 2021?
Happy New Year!
I hope that you have been settling well into the second week of 2018.
You may have thought the title was a typo but that’s the year we had in mind when crafting our programmes for the New Year.
Will our programmes train you and your team to face the challenges in 2021?
We believe it will.
As a future-facing organization, MIM has brought to life some of the key issues facing our industry through our training and events last year. Take for example our Industry 4.0 and Digital Leadership conferences which helped give clearer insights to Malaysian companies undergoing their digital transformation. Leaders gained key insights and a bigger picture of the right steps they should take to groom and upskill digital ready employees.
Apart from helping companies navigate the challenges of the future, last year we also looked at new opportunities for businesses to tap into, the halal sector. The Halal Lifestyle Conference & Expo held last November, brought together some of the top experts who gave female entrepreneurs the right advice on how they can tap into this market and take their businesses to the next level.
Looking beyond Malaysian shores, MIM’s International Business division successfully facilitated several trainings in the areas of supply chain management, banking, enterprise architecture with innovative programs such as Managment Planning & Sustainability of Modern Infrastructure, Internal Audit Fundamentals, Organizational Excellence & Leadership for Driving world-class excellence and more for global agencies. By collaborating with various ministries and government agencies in countries such as Kenya, Maldives, Bhutan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh MIM will continue its efforts in supporting these bodies to ensure the standardisation of global standards within the industry.
In line with our vision of bringing only the best management and leadership practices across the region, last year, we launched several key initiatives for the Asian Association of Management Organisations (AAMO) in which MIM holds the presidency for. Our two annual meetings hosted in both Kuala Lumpur and Goa, India were fruitful as we put together several action plans to better train and develop leaders in APAC. Training the leaders of tomorrow was a key focus in our AAMO initiatives last year namely bringing over young leaders from our neighbouring AAMO secretariates in New Zeland, Hong Kong, India and Bangladesh to join our annual Tun Razak Youth Leadership Award (TRYLA) Experiential Leadership Programme. In the New Year, we look forward to increasing AAMO’s membership within the APAC region and launch future initiatives to better connect the management community in this region.
The key inspiration for us to keep on producing training and events that are innovative and relevant to the industry is you, our members. For that, on behalf of The MIM Team, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for your support throughout 2017.
As we venture forward into the New Year, look forward to an exciting list of programmes for 2018. From Corporate Governance, Fintech, to better equipping you for the Halal market click here to get a full list of our upcoming trainings to future-proof yourself.
Until we soon meet in person, I would like to wish you a productive 2018!
