The Certificate in Compliance, awarded by the Basel Institute on Governance (Switzerland) in collaboration with the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM), is a 3-day programme that equips professionals with practical skills to manage compliance, strengthen internal controls, and embed ethical practices. Aligned with global standards and rooted in the Malaysian context, it features real-world case studies and risk governance frameworks, and forms part of the pathway to the Diploma in Corporate Governance and Compliance.

Completion Requirements

To successfully complete this certificate, participants must:

Complete pre-assigned readings.

Attend all face-to-face training sessions (21 hours per certificate).

Actively participate in workshops and discussions.

Achieve a satisfactory score on the assessments.

Final Diploma Assessment

After completing all three certificates, participants are required to submit a written assessment (2,000–2,500 words) in English to the Basel Institute on Governance. This paper should reflect their ability to apply the learned concepts in a real-world setting. A virtual interview may be requested to discuss the submission.

Specialist in corporate governance, compliance, risk management, and internal controls. Former Chartered Accountant in the airline industry, leading a team of 40 in revenue accounting. Transitioned into internal audit, focusing on ensuring alignment with organisational policies and strategic goals. Started her training career as a Risk Management Practitioner; known for her engaging and practical training style. Recipient of the “Excellence in Training” award by Astro Malaysia’s Human Resources Division. Conducts training for both corporate and public-sector audiences across governance, compliance, and audit domains.
