The 26th TRYLA® is a 5D4N youth leadership expedition by MIM and Outward Bound Malaysia, designed to build resilience, critical thinking, and real-world leadership through immersive outdoor challenges and cross-cultural collaboration.
Established in 1954, Outward Bound Malaysia (OBM) has played a pivotal role in shaping generations of resilient, purpose-driven individuals through experiential outdoor learning. With over 100,000 alumni and nearly seven decades of impact, the centre continues to be a cornerstone of character and leadership development in Malaysia. Located in Lumut, Perak, OBM is dedicated to creating opportunities that challenge participants to discover, develop and achieve their true potential while contributing to nation-building and fostering a shared vision for a brighter, more capable future.
The 26th Tun Razak Youth Leadership Award® (TRYLA®) is a prestigious 5 day, 4 night leadership expedition that empowers young professionals through immersive, outdoor-based learning. Organised by the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) in collaboration with Outward Bound Malaysia (OBM), this transformative programme develops leadership character, strategic thinking, and personal resilience in line with the legacy of Tun Abdul Razak. Set against the natural backdrop of Lumut, Perak, TRYLA® challenges participants through sea expeditions, jungle navigation, and team-based missions, designed to push boundaries and forge strong, purposeful leaders. Tailored for aspiring Malaysian and international leaders aged 24–35, the programme aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promotes inclusive, ethical leadership across communities and industries.
