About TRYLA®

The 26th Tun Razak Youth Leadership Award® (TRYLA®) is a prestigious 5 day, 4 night leadership expedition that empowers young professionals through immersive, outdoor-based learning. Organised by the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) in collaboration with Outward Bound Malaysia (OBM), this transformative programme develops leadership character, strategic thinking, and personal resilience in line with the legacy of Tun Abdul Razak. Set against the natural backdrop of Lumut, Perak, TRYLA® challenges participants through sea expeditions, jungle navigation, and team-based missions, designed to push boundaries and forge strong, purposeful leaders. Tailored for aspiring Malaysian and international leaders aged 24–35, the programme aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promotes inclusive, ethical leadership across communities and industries.

Schedule Adjustments

The schedule is subject to adjustments based on arrival and departure times as well as weather and safety considerations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Mobile Phone Policy

Please note that mobile phones will be collected upon arrival on the first day and returned at the conclusion of the event. This policy is implemented to promote a distraction-free and immersive experience throughout the programme.
