TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This document outlines the Terms and Conditions applicable to all training programmes, events, and related services organised by the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM). By registering for a programme, participants agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions in full. MIM reserves the right to amend these terms from time to time without prior notice.

1. Registration & Payment
1.1 Registration Confirmation
Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment cleared before the programme commencement date. Registrations without payment or incomplete documentation will be treated as unconfirmed.To deliver our products and services efficiently and effectively, we may collect relevant personal information from you, either manually or via our website. Such information may include, but is not limited to, your name, identity card number, address, telephone number, bank account or credit card details, business information, and any other data as defined under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

1.2 Accepted Payment Methods

  • Online Banking / Direct Transfer (IBG)
    Payments can be made to:
    • Payable To: MIM Education Sdn. Bhd.
    • Bank Name: Public Bank
    • Account Number: 3144278111
    • Swift Code: PBBEMYKL (for international transfers)
  • Credit or Debit card
    All major credit and debit cards are accepted.
  • Cheque
    Cheques must be crossed and made payable to “MIM Education Sdn. Bhd.”. All cheque
    payments must clear before the programme commencement date. Post-dated cheques will
    not be accepted.
  • Cash
    Cash payments are accepted in person at the MIM office. For security reasons, we
    recommend limiting cash transactions and requesting a receipt upon payment.
  • HRDC Levy
    Participants claiming under the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC) levy
    must ensure proper approval and documentation are submitted prior to the programme.
    Confirmation of registration is subject to HRDC approval and claim disbursement.

1.3 Proof of Payment
All participants are required to attach proof of payment (receipt, transfer slip, or deposit slip) with their registration form. Registrations without proof of payment may be considered incomplete and will not be confirmed until verified.

1.4 Incomplete Payment
Registrations without full payment are considered incomplete and may be cancelled at MIM’s
discretion.

2. cancellation, refund & substitution policy
2.1 Cancellations by Participants

  • ≥ 7 days before the programme: Full refund for written cancellations.
  • < 7 days before the programme: 50% of the registration fee will be charged as an
    administrative fee. This applies to both paid and unpaid registrations.
  • No-shows or same-day cancellations: No refunds. Unpaid registrations will still be invoiced
    at full fee.

2.2 Substitution of Participants
Substituting a registered participant is permitted, provided MIM receives written notice (including the replacement participant’s name and designation) at least seven (7) days before the programme
commencement.

3. changes & cancellations by the organiser
3.1 Programme Changes
MIM reserves the right to change programme content, speakers, dates, or venue due to unforeseen
circumstances.

3.2 Programme Cancellation
In the event MIM cancels a programme, participants will be offered either:

  • A full refund, or
  • The option to transfer their registration to another session.

MIM will make every effort to notify participants of such changes as early as possible.

4. amendments & liability
4.1 Amendments to Registration
Requests for changes (such as date or session transfers) must be submitted in writing to publicprog@mim.org.my at least seven (7) days before the programme and are subject to MIM’s approval.

4.2 No Changes After Commencement
No change requests will be accepted after the programme has commenced.

4.3 Dietary Preferences & Liability
Dietary restrictions must be clearly stated in the registration form. While efforts will be made to accommodate, MIM shall not be held liable for any health issues arising from meals provided.

5. privacy policy & data protection
5.1 Commitment to PDPA
MIM is committed to complying with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) and protecting your personal data.

5.2 Collection & Use of Personal Data
Personal data collected (including name, contact details, IC/passport number, payment information, and company details) will be used for:

  • Programme registration and communication
  • Payment processing and administrative purposes
  • Customer service and support
  • Marketing and promotional updates (with consent)
  • Internal reporting and quality improvements

5.3 Data Sharing
Your data may be shared with authorised service providers strictly for programme delivery. These parties are contractually bound to maintain confidentiality and data security.

6. consent & acceptance
6.1 Consent
By submitting the registration form or proceeding with payment, you:

  • Confirm that the information provided is accurate and complete.
  • Accept these Terms and Conditions.
  • Consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal data for the stated purposes.

6.2 Withdrawal of Consent
To withdraw consent for marketing communications or data sharing, send a written request to marketing@mim.org.my. MIM will process your request within seven (7) working days of receipt.

6.3 Access & Correction of Personal Data
You may request access to or correction of your personal data held by MIM. Requests will be addressed within 21 calendar days, in line with PDPA requirements.

7. general provisions
